Access to AENA Presentation (PDF Document, 1.5 Mb)<\/a><\/p>\n The founding partner of AENA Auditores y Consultores, Wilson Silva Mantilla, joined one of the world\u2019s largest audit firms in 1977 where we worked until 1990.\u00a0 This experience provided Wilson with an invaluable insight into the need of a range of medium-sized Ecuadorian companies for a quality service at a reasonable price from audit firms not necessarily forming part of the globally known \u201cBig Four\u201d.<\/p>\n So Wilson constituted an audit and consulting firm to serve an identified business segment in the Ecuadorian market.\u00a0 On October 1, 1990, AENA was established in Quito.\u00a0 The Firm\u2019s core service comprised the audit of financial statements and the provision of an internal audit to evaluate internal controls and suggest improvements to optimize the deployment of resources and achieve improved financial results and business goals.<\/p>\n Our first client was the PRONACA Group for whom AENA performed operational audits at the group\u2019s principal production and commercialization sites.\u00a0 The audit was well received by the client and our contract was extended until 2001 (11 consecutive years).<\/p>\n In financial audits, we began by working with medium-sized companies to whom we still provide this service. Our reports on this type of audit are based on international standards published by the IFAC.\u00a0 All our work is undertaken with complete independence and impartiality.<\/p>\n Over the years we have consolidated our professional practice.\u00a0 Our audit approaches are applied based on each client\u2019s particular characteristics and for which our professionals receive ongoing training.<\/p>\n New services have subsequently been integrated, such as accounting outsourcing, tax consulting, management consulting as well as practical seminars with highly experienced instructors as well as academic support from prestigious Ecuadorian and international universities.<\/p>\n We have also signed strategic alliances with senior professionals from Ecuador and other countries to guarantee high quality and reliable services.<\/p>\n For several years, we had international audit representation.\u00a0 Now, in the absence of this representation, we apply international standards undertaken by qualified and highly-trained Ecuadorian auditors with support from international consultants.\u00a0 The result of which has been outstanding results, highly satisfied clients and compliance with regulatory entities.<\/p>\n During these 30 years, we have developed our own working methodologies.\u00a0 Our personnel are kept updated with continuous training and seminars.\u00a0 Many of our former employees now occupy senior positions in other companies while those who have remained in the audit field have joined firms with higher operational volumes but with higher running costs.
